18 Years to 65 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 18–65 years; 2. A history of chronic HBV infection; 3. Serum HBsAg level < 1,000 IU/mL; 4. Serum HBeAg negative with or without antibody to HBeAg (anti-HBe); 5. HBV DNA < 20 IU/mL; 6. Alanine aminotransferase level < 40 U/L, total bilirubin level < 17.1 µmol/L.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Previous or present diagnosis of liver fibrosis, cirrhosis, and liver cancer; 2. Previous treatment with interferon or nucleos(t)ide analogues; 3. Evidence of hepatitis A, C, D, E viruses, Epstein-Barr virus, cytomegalovirus, and human immunodeficiency virus infections; 4. Autoimmune diseases, including but not limited to thyroid diseases; 5. Pregnant women.
