Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Electronic colonoscopy was performed before the operation, and the biopsy pathology was clearly diagnosed as rectal cancer, and the lower edge of the tumor was within 5 cm from the anal verge; 2. Preoperative chest and abdomen enhanced CT and pelvic MRI examination, preoperative tumor clinical stage (according to imaging data) is T1-2N0M0 (or downstaging to yT1-2N0M0 after preoperative neoadjuvant treatment); 3. Received laparoscopic modified Bacon anus-preserving surgery for rectal cancer in our department.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Age > 70 years old, or combined with serious heart, brain, lung, liver, kidney and other basic diseases, ASA score >= grade ?, and a higher risk of anesthesia; 2. Patients who have anal stenosis, anal incontinence, etc. increase the risk of intestinal leakage or affect anal function before operation; 3. Patients with other systemic malignancies that affect life expectancy at the same time; 4. Clinical medical records or follow-up data are missing.
