Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria of dementia subjects are: (1) aged 60 years or older; (2) have a diagnosis of dementia (AD, vascular dementia, or other types of dementia);(3) Clinical Dementia Rating Scale (CDR) = 1, indicating mild dementia;(4) Can participate in exercise interventions assessed by the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire for Everyone (PAR-Q+);(5) be literate and have the ability to read and write Chinese; (6) have a family caregiver willing to participate. The inclusion criteria of family caregivers are: (1) aged 18 years and older; (2) co-residing with PwD; (3) be literate and have the ability to read and write Chinese; (4) have an electronic device with internet access, and have the ability to use technology; (5) cognitively intact.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: The exclusion of dementia subjects are: (1) having any absolute or relative contraindications of exercise according to the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM); (2) with active psychiatric disorders requiring treatments or obvious behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia; (3) with hearing or vision impairment; (4) have a regular exercise training for more than 150 min per week or currently participating in any interventions that aim to improve cognition; (5) are incompetent in giving consent.
