18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Pain in the unilateral deltoid region; 2. Worsening symptoms with activities above shoulder level and/or at night; 3. Positive Hawkins, empty can, and Yocum test results; 4. Calcifications > 10 mm in size on standard anteroposterior radiographs.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Aged 65 years; 2. Type 3 calcific deposits according to the classification by Gartner and Heyer; 3. Comorbidities of affected shoulder(e.g., glenohumeral arthritis,full-thickness tear of rotator cuff ); 4. History of fracture, surgery, previously treated with barbotage or local injection.
