Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients were eligible for inclusion if they were aged over 20 years with missing mandibular first molar and no contraindications for implant treatment; the implants occlusion were adjusted be light contact during forceful occlusion and no contact in the maximum intercuspal position (MIP), had natural adjacent teeth and paired jaw teeth to the implants with nearly intact crowns; had good periodontal health; had stable maximum intercuspal occlusion without premature contact and occlusal interference.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients were excluded if they were suffering from psychological or mental disorders or pain of muscles, bone, temporomandibular joint of oral-maxillofacial system; had signs of malocclusion such as angle class II or III or unilateral or bilateral crossbite; had a limited mouth opening so that the intraoral scanner couldnt scan the intact posterior buccal bite data; had endodontic diseases or abnormal displacements such as torsiversion, tilt of adjacent teeth.
