Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with endotracheal intubation under general anesthesia, aged 18-65 years, were classified as grade I-II by the American Association of anesthesiologists (ASA). The mouth opening, nail chin distance and head and neck mobility of the two groups were within the normal range.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with body mass index greater than 30kg/m^2, limited neck movement, mouth opening less than 3cm, Mallampati grade 4, poor blood pressure control >= 160/95mmhg, and need double lumen endotracheal intubation. Patients with asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, airway hyperresponsiveness, patients with upper respiratory tract infection in the past two weeks, or patients who have used angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, bronchodilators, and steroid hormones are also excluded.
