Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Children: (1) age 0-18 years; (2) diagnosed with cancer for at least 1 month; (3) being hospitalized for cancer treatment. 2. Parents: (1) are the primary caregiver of the child patients; (2) be able to complete the questionnaire; (3) proficiency in using smartphones; (4) have not received mindful self-compassion training and had no knowledge of mindfulness and self-compassion before participating in this study; and (5) volunteer to participate in a 6-week internet-based self-help mindful self-compassion program.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Children: (1) be in critical condition; (2) be receiving palliative care or have died. 2. Parents: (1) have a psychiatric or somatic illness; (2) are receiving mental health services or other psychiatric treatment; (3) are in pregnancy.
