Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Eligible study subjects were American Society of Anesthesiologists class ?-? patients Mallampati airway class 1 or 2, scheduled for elective surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria were as follows: age >90 or 28 kg/m2, presence of gastroesophageal reflux, use of medication known to interfere with cardiovascular function, and anticipated difficult airway.
