18 Years to 100 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged > 18 years; 2. End stage kidney disease patients who are receiving maintenance hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis; 3. Renal anemia, defined as HGB < 130 g/L (male), HGB < 120 g/L(female) or HGB is maintained normal by ESA; 4. Willing to participate in the study with informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Known history of hematological disorders including myelodysplastic syndrome, multiple myeloma, hereditary hematologic disease such as thalassemia, sickle cell anemia, pure red cell aplasia, or other known causes for anemia other than CKD or dialysis; 2. Patients with pre-existing malignancy; 3. The researchers predicted a life span of less than 12 months; 4. Patients who cannot complete the follow-up study.
