18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age > 18; 2. Diagnosis of acute respiratory failure or acute onset of chronic respiratory failure; 3. Informed and agreed to participate in the study; 4. Acute Physiology and Chronic health Status Scoring System (APACHE II) > 10/SOFA score > 10.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Withdraw from the study; 2. Skin edema, injury or infection at the probe placement site; 3. Coagulation dysfunction such as severe platelet abnormalities; 4. Pregnancy or perinatal period.
