Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 16-40 years old meeting the following criteria who were admitted to the Department of Endocrinology of the Second People's Hospital of Huai'an from March 2020 to January 2022: 1. Compliance with the 1999 WHO diagnosis of diabetes. Diagnostic criteria of T2DM: confirmed as non-insulin-dependent diabetes or type 2 diabetes. Diagnostic criteria of T1DM: autoantibodies [glutamic acid decarboxylase antibody (GADA), human islet cell antigen 2 antibody/protein tyrosine phosphatase antibody (IA-2A), anti-islet cell antibody (ICA)] one or more positive; 2. Rely on insulin therapy; 3. Complete medical history; 4. Estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) > 90mL/min/1.73m2; 5. Capacity to provide self-reporting data and informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe infection and other endocrine diseases; 2. Other severe autoimmune diseases; 3. Hypoglycemia occurred within 24 h (fasting blood glucose < 4 mmol/L, < 72 mg/dL).
