Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Mandibular second molars with residual periodontal pockets probing depth PD >= 5 mm after initial periodontal treatment. 2. Mandibular third molars extracted for more than six months or congenitally missing. 3. Have not received periodontal treatment within six months.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. The existence of endodontic diseases or restorations in the distal of the mandibular second molars. 2. patients with the presence of systemic diseases (e.g. diabetes, cardiovascular disease, etc.) 3. women in pregnancy or lactation. 4. having taken antibiotics, anticoagulants or other drugs affecting the gums within 3 months 5. patients who are undergoing orthodontic treatment or have a recent need for orthodontic treatment 6. Second molar tilted more than 30 degrees, or with severe malocclusion (e.g., locking) and occlusal trauma.
