Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Shoulder pain for at least 3 months; 2. No passive limitation of ROM suggestive of adhesive capsulitis; 3. Positive findings on at least three of the following: Neer impingement sign, Hawkins sign, painful arch during arm elevation and empty can test.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Had cervical symptoms, shoulder dislocation, or a shoulder fracture, as ascertained during an interview or from findings of x-ray imaging or ultrasonography; 2. Diagnosed with an inflammatory disorder; 3. Had a neurological disorder; 4. Were afflicted with a widespread pain condition; 5. Had type 3 acromion; 6. Had massive rotator cuff tears; 7. Had tears to the long head of the biceps tendon; 8. Had degenerative joint disorder of the shoulder; 9. Had a history of surgery to the affected shoulder; 10.Had received steroid injections and physical therapy during the preceding 6 months.
