Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 18-70 years old; 2. According to the 2016 international guidelines for the treatment of sepsis and septic shock, those who meet the diagnostic criteria of sepsis 3.0, the diagnostic criteria are the presence of systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) caused by the identified bacterial infection foci, and Include 3 or more of the following signs (item 3 must be present): (1) Body temperature >38 degrees Celsius or 90 beats/min; (3) Respiratory rate > 20 times/min or arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure 12*10^9/L or <4*10^9/L; 3. According to the 2019 version of the Asian consensus on the diagnosis and treatment of sarcopenia, for patients with sarcopenia, dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) is used for the diagnosis of sarcopenia. Whole-body DXA measurement is currently the most commonly used method for evaluating muscle mass. It is a non-invasive, easy-to-operate, inexpensive and relatively small radiation dose (2.6-75.0 mSV) method for measuring muscle mass, and can accurately distinguish systemic and local muscle, fat, and bone, and is most commonly used in sarcopenia-related research. The evaluation index used is the skeletal muscle mass index (SMI), which is the height-adjusted limb muscle mass [extremity muscle mass (kg)/height 2 (m2)], and will be lower than the 20-40-year-old youth The diagnosis of sarcopenia in healthy individuals is above -2SD; 4. The patient's medical records are complete; 5. Patients and their families agree to collect and analyze relevant data.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant patients; 2. Patients with gastrointestinal surgery; 3. Primary gastrointestinal inflammation (such as radiation enteritis, Crohn's disease, etc.); 4. Combined with serious underlying diseases, such as malignant tumors, liver and kidney failure, severe heart and lung diseases, etc.
