Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Elderly patients undergoing elective gastrointestinal surgery (operation time >= 1.5 h, aged >= 65 years), ASA grade I-III.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe liver and kidney insufficiency; 2. Previous history of hyperthyroidism, pheochromocytoma, severe cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, hemodynamic instability, and grade 3 hypertension; 3. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease requires the use of bronchodilators and pulmonary hypertension; 4. Recently used tricyclic antidepressants or monoamine oxidase inhibitors; 5. The patient refuses to participate.
