Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. The diagnosis of monophasic depression is made by a doctor with a psychiatric license at or above the intermediate level according to the DSM-V diagnostic criteria for depression; 2. First onset of illness and no previous psychotherapy medication; 3. Sign an informed consent form between the ages of 18 and 60; 4. The Hamilton Depression Scale (24 items) scored more than 20 points; 5. No contraindications to magnetic resonance imaging; 6. No obvious organic lesions were found on conventional head MRI scans.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other mental disorders; 2. Have a history of any disease that can lead to emotional disorders or cognitive impairment; 3. Severe impairment of vision/hearing or hand activity, making it impossible to complete the experiment; 4. Have a family history of mental illness, long-term history of substance abuse or alcohol abuse; 5. Suffering from serious cardiovascular and cerebrovascular system diseases, such as heart failure, hypertension, cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral infarction, etc; 6. Have a history of other brain diseases such as brain trauma, epilepsy, meningitis, and brain tumors; 7. Women who are breastfeeding, pregnant, or likely to become pregnant during the trial; 8. Men who have fertility requirements within one year; 9. Persons with a previous history of allergy to antidepressants; 10. The interview found that there was a risk of suicidal ideation (specific suicide plans and intentions); 11. Those who currently have contraindications to magnetic resonance imaging, such as newly implanted cardiac stents, metal dentures, etc; 12. Or the researcher believes that it is not suitable for participants.
