Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Admitted to the PICU of our hospital, Children's Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing Medical University from April 2022 to April 2024, and diagnosed as severe sepsis and septic shock; 2. In line with the 2005 International Consensus on Childhood Sepsis; 3. Aged >28 days; 4. Informed consent was obtained.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Admitted to our hospital and diagnosed with severe sepsis or septic shock for more than 48 hours; 2. CRRT treatment was performed 72 hours before diagnosis; 3. Autoimmune diseases, HIV infection, tumors, and hematological diseases; 4. Use of immunosuppressant within 3 months prior to admission.
