Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) meet the diagnostic criteria for depressive episode (F32) of the International Classification and Diagnostic Criteria of Diseases (ICD-10). (2)Hamilton scale (HAMD-17) score 17 to 35 points. (3) Be between 18 and 75 years of age. (4) Patients were informed and voluntarily signed an informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Those who have participated in other clinical trials within 4 weeks prior to the start of this study. (2) Those with a history of mild mania, hypomania or mixed episodes; when diagnosed as bipolar depression (3) Those with suicidal plans or behaviors. (4) Pregnant and lactating women (5) With other brain disorders (e.g., stroke, brain tumor, etc.) (6) Those who have other serious illnesses requiring treatment (7) Those who are afraid of acupuncture or refuse it.
