Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) The head CT and/or MRI examination on admission confirmed that the patient had the first stroke and met the diagnostic criteria of stroke in the fourth Chinese Academic Conference on Cerebrovascular Diseases (2) The patients were between 18 and 75 years old (3) Patients with unilateral upper limb paralysis after ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke; (4) The course of disease was less than 6 months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Have severe cognitive impairment and score of concise mental state examination <24 points (full score of 30 points); (2) cerebellar stroke; (3) Contraindications for TMS, such as metal foreign bodies in the skull, pacemakers, cardiac stents, cochlear implants, and significantly increased intracranial pressure; (4) patients with a history of epilepsy or family history of epilepsy, alcohol, drug abuse or neuropsychiatric history; (5) Severe systemic injury or accompanying disease.
