18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Experienced hearing aid users (at least one year); 2. Hearing loss degree: bilateral permanent sensorineural severe to profound hearing loss (PTA4 average >60 dBHL; 1kHz above >60 dBHL; 3. Audiogram configuration: flat or gently sloping; 4. Normal middle ear function; 5. less than 15 dB asymmetry between two ears from 500 Hz to 4000Hz.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. People with cognitive problems (will be evaluated via Montreal Cognitive Assessment test); 2. People who can't finish the speech test, i.e. can't repeat clearly what s/he hears.
