Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Participants were recruited from the inpatient Department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, West China Hospital. Eligible patients were: 1. Referred for endoscopic treatment of resectable rectal tumor (RT); 2. Aged 18 and over; 3. Were able to adhere to the protocol and give informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients received any preoperative RT-associated therapy, such as local excision and chemoradiotherapy; 2. Patients not suitable for endoscopic treatment (involving or exceeding the deep submucosal layer); 3. Pregnancy or lactation; 4. Unstable vital signs; 5. Severe concurrent diseases or malignancy; 6. MRI or endoscopy contradictions.
