Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >= 18 years old, = 40 kg/m2 or BMI >= 35 kg/m2 and undergo laparoscopic gastric volume reduction surgery with metabolic syndromes such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who cannot tolerate general anesthesia, such as allergies to general anesthesia; 2. Decompensated heart disease (heart failure, myocardial infarction, severe arrhythmias); 3. Severe respiratory diseases (severe obstructive or restrictive lung disease, respiratory failure); 4. Thoracic deformity, lung surgery history and recent respiratory infectious diseases; 5. Severe liver dysfunction (serum total bilirubin >= 2mg/dl); 6. Severe renal dysfunction (glomerular filtration rate<60ml/(min·1.73m2)-1; 7. There are abnormalities in the chest x-ray before surgery.
