Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patient inclusion criteria: (1) Age 25-70 years; (2) Meet the World Health Organization (WHO) diagnostic criteria for T2DM in 1999; (3) Diabetic retinopathy was diagnosed according to the International Clinical Diabetic Retinopathy Disease Severity Scale (2002). Regardless of severity, patients with retinopathy were classified into the DR group; (4) Informed consent; (5) No other intraocular diseases except DRIn; 2. Inclusion criteria for normal subjects: (1) All healthy individuals are spouses of patients with diabetic retinopathy in this project and live with their spouses; (2) The age gap between the healthy individual and the spouse does not exceed 3 years; (3) Except for refractive error, there is no other eye disease, no major systemic diseases such as diabetes.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Those who have used antibiotics within 6 weeks before inclusion; 2. Use probiotics and prebiotics within 3 months before stool sampling; 3. History of abdominal surgery; 4. Daily alcohol intake > 30 g; 5. Severe immunodeficiency, severe kidney disease or liver disease; 6. Breastfeeding or pregnancy.
