Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. To determine the optimal protocol of transcranial electromagnetic synchronous stimulation: (1) No previous history of neuropsychiatric disorders; (2) The neurological examination showed no abnormalities; (3) Age: 18-50 years; (4) Not taking any medication affecting neuropsychiatric activity; (5) Right-handed; (6) Informed consent signed. 2. Exploration of clinical effects of treatment with transcranial electromagnetic stimulation: (1) Symptomatology showed seizures with impaired awareness; (2) The presence of at least one of the two manifestations: 'automatism seizures' or 'gastrointestinal symptoms aura, deja vu, and other autonomic nervous system - limbic system aura'; (3) Structural MRI suggested unilateral hippocampal sclerosis; (4) Ictal EEG confirmed that the episodes originated from temporal and sphenoid electrodes ipsilateral to the hippocampal sclerosis; (5) Age: 18-50 years; (6) Were taking 1-4 antiepileptic medications; (7) The antiepileptic regimen was not adjusted for the duration of the study (4 weeks at baseline, 2 weeks of treatment, and 8 weeks of follow-up); (8) Seizure frequency other than aura was greater than 0.5 seizures/week; (9) History of epilepsy: greater than or equal to 2 years.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. To determine the optimal protocol of transcranial electromagnetic synchronous stimulation: (1) Pregnancy; (2) Metal implantation. 2. Exploration of clinical effects of treatment with transcranial electromagnetic stimulation: (1) Psychogenic nonepileptic seizure; (2) Status epilepticus; (3) Metal implantation or prior brain surgery; (4) Pregnancy; (5) Severe neuropsychic or other diseases other than epilepsy.
