Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Obesity and fatty liver group: (1) Patients with obesity and NAFLD who attended the obesity clinic of the Department of Endocrinology at the First Affiliated Hospital of South China University; (2) Patients who underwent obesity weight reduction surgery at the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery, The First Affiliated Hospital of South China University; (3) Patients undergoing gallstone gallbladder surgery in the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of South China University; (4) 18 years old = 28 kg/m2 according to WHO criteria; (6) Meeting the diagnostic imaging criteria for NAFLD; (7) Those who voluntarily participated in this study and signed the informed consent form. 2. Control group: (1) Medical examiners from the physical examination center of the First Hospital of South China University; (2) Patients with gallstone disease requiring gallbladder surgery for gallstones; (3) 18 years old <= age <= 70 years old, with no restriction on gender; (4) 18.5 kg/m2 <= BMI < 24 kg/m2 according to WHO criteria; (5) Those who voluntarily participated in this study and signed the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Various autoimmune diseases; 2. Various chronic inflammatory diseases; 3. History of chronic liver and kidney diseases or impaired liver and kidney function; 4. Patients with alcoholic fatty liver, autoimmune liver disease, viral liver disease and drug-induced liver disease; 5. History of tumor; 6. Recent history of infection; 7. Glucocorticoid use in the last 3 months or ongoing; 8. Trauma in the last 3 months; 8. History of heart attack or cerebral infarction in the last 3 months.
