Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with newly treated papillary thyroid carcinoma treated in a single center from 2000 to 2016 with pathological lymph node stage pN1a.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with a second primary tumor, poorly differentiated papillary carcinoma, or suspicious lymph nodes in the lateral neck.
