Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Elderly patients aged >=65 years; 2. ASA grade II-III; 3. Preoperative Fried Frailty Index >=2; 4. Undergoing major abdominal surgery (an expected duration >=2 h) with an anticipated postoperative hospital stay >=3 days.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 2. Patients with Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, preoperative cognitive impairment (MMSE score <= 23), visual and hearing impairment, illiteracy, and refusal to participation.
