Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 18 years and above, regardless of gender; 2. Diagnosis of deep caries or reversible pulpitis or early irreversible pulpitis before and during operation, decaying or pulp exposure in tooth preparation, and teeth requiring root canal treatment; 3. The patient is willing to carry out vital pulp therapy and follow-up after being informed; 4. There is no spontaneous pain, periodontal disease and looseness before operation; 5. Pulp test (cold test) shows that the pulp vitality of the affected teeth is normal or sensitive; 6. The preoperative X-ray film showed that the periapical membrane of the affected tooth was clear and continuous or only slightly widened, no periapical lesions (PAI index 1 or 2), no internal and external root absorption, no root fracture, and no obvious calcification in the pulp cavity.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. The root apical development of the affected tooth is not completed; 2. The defect of tooth tissue is large, which needs post-core-crown repair; 3. After treatment at the exposed pulp site, it cannot stop bleeding within 3 min; 4. The patient is pregnant or lost to follow-up for other reasons during case follow-up.
