Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Elderly patients aged >=65 years with sleep disorders (meeting the International Sleep Disorders, Third Edition ICSD-3 diagnostic criteria for chronic insomnia disorder; Poor sleep quality in the patient scale: Pittsburgh sleep quality index PSQI>5, insomnia severity index ISI>7); 2. Hip or knee replacement surgery; 3. Patients voluntarily participated in the trial and signed informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with sick sinus syndrome, severe bradycardia (heart rate <50 beats per minute) or more than second degree atrioventricular block, permanent pacemaker implantation, severe heart failure, or ejection fraction <30%; 2. Patients with severe liver and kidney dysfunction (Child-Pugh grades B or C, CKD 3-5); 3. Patients with central nervous system diseases; 4. Patients who planned to enter ICU after surgery and patients who did not plan to enter ICU; 5. Patients allergic to dexmedetomidine; 6. Patients with severe dementia, low cognitive function, speech disorders, severe hearing or visual impairment, mental disorders, coma and other conditions cannot complete the evaluation.
