Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing elective thoracic (but not cardiac) and abdominal surgery; 2. Aged >=60 years old; 3. Patients with basic communication skills.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. ASA classification >= IV; 2. Patients with cardiopulmonary insufficiency; 3. Patients scheduled to be admitted to ICU; 4. Patients with impaired limbs, Parkinson's disease, bone and joint diseases of both upper limbs (such as rheumatoid arthritis), gait disorders or balance disorders, etc., who are unable to complete the test; 5. Patients with senile dementia, mental illness and other diseases who cannot understand the scale; 6. Patients with implanted electronic devices (pacemakers).
