Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Study 1 (for patients): 1. Have a exercise history; Clinical manifestations: pain at the lateral femoral condyle of the lateral knee joint; Physical examination: swelling and tenderness at the lateral femoral condyle, limited flexion and extension activities, and the pain is the most severe when the knee flexion is about 30 °, Ober's test (+). 2. Aged 18-65 years. Study 2 (for healthy runners): 1. Have running habits; Iliotibial band syndrome occurred in the past; No exercise-related diseases occurred within 1 month. 2. Can withstand 30 kilometers per week. 3. Aged 18-65 years.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Poor compliance; Unable to contact or complete follow-up; 2. Patients with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, sarcoidosis and acromegaly; 3. Those with cognitive impairment, mental disorders caused by various reasons and taking antipsychotic drugs; 4. Local skin infection or ulcer.
