Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Confirmed hypokalemia (serum potassium levels of <3.5 mmol/L accompanied with symptoms of hypokalemia for more than twice or more than three times consecutive serum potassium levels less than 3.5 mmol/L without symptoms of hypokalemia); positive family history of hypokalemia.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Hypokalemia due to secondary factors, such as chronic vomiting or diarrhea caused by gastrointestinal lesions, chronic kidney disease, renal artery stenosis, primary aldosteronism, Cushing syndrome, pheochromocytoma, diabetic ketoacidosis, and drug-induced potassium loss.
