Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Pregnant women who present to the antenatal clinic for antenatal care will be approached to participate in the study. The inclusion criteria were the following: (1) during five weeks and 12+6 weeks pregnancy; (2) with at least one risk factors for GDM (maternal age higher than 35 years old, pre-pregnancy BMI>25 kg/m2, family history of type 2 diabetes, polycystic ovary syndrome, previous macrosomia, previous GDM, previous glucose intolerance, previous fetal anomaly or hydramnion, current pregnancy with fetal greater than gestational age, hydramnion or repeated coleitis); (3) willing to provide informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Suffering from diabetes before pregnancy; 2. Have exercise contraindication, such as severe cardiac or respiratory diseases, severe preeclampsia, uncontrolled hypertension or thyroid disease or type 1 diabetes, cervical insufficiency, persistent vaginal bleeding, threatened prematurity, placenta previa, ruptured membranes, poorly controlled anemia, fetal growth restriction, multiple pregnancies (three and above), and bone or joint problems; 3. Participant in other antenatal physical activity programs; 4. Currently being treated with metformin or corticosteroids.
