Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged between 18 and 80 years old (18 and 80 years old included); 2. Chronic cough lasting for >= 2 months, with or without typical upper gastrointestinal symptoms such as regurgitation, heartburn, and chest pain; 3. Multichannel intraluminal impedance-pH monitoring (MII-pH) revealed one or more of the followings: (1) Acid exposure time (AET) > 6%; (2) Syndrome association probability (SAP) >= 95%; (3) Reflux episodes >80/24 h; 4. Prior to the consideration of gastro-oesophageal reflux-induced chronic cough, other causes of chronic cough including upper airway cough syndrome, cough variant asthma, and eosinophilic bronchitis were excluded by negative investigations and therapeutic trials for these aetiologies according to a step by step algorithm.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant and lactating women; 2. People who smoke or quit smoking within 2 years; 3. People who refused to sign IFC; 4. People with reading and writing disabilities.
