Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with body mass index (BMI) >= 40 kg/m2 and no combined medical problems and bariatric surgery will not bring excessive risks; 2. Patients with body mass index (BMI) >= 35 kg/m2 and with one or more severe obesity-related complications that can be corrected by bariatric surgery; 3. Patients whose body mass index (BMI) is 28-34.9 kg/m2, and despite having the best lifestyle and medications, type 2 diabetes and/or arterial hypertension and other metabolic syndromes are still poorly controlled; 4. Patients aged 18-65 years; 5. With full understanding, agree to participate in this study; 6. Patients who agree to undergo routine intraoperative liver biopsy and have a valid pathological diagnosis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who lose the ability of daily living; 2. Patients during pregnancy or breastfeeding; 3. Patients with severe liver and kidney insufficiency, cardiopulmonary insufficiency, or other serious diseases that have not received standard treatment before surgery; 4. Patients with severe mental illness in the past; 5. Patients in the active stage of tumors; 6. Patients with poor medical adherence.
