Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Gender is not limited, 50 yeas <= age <= 80 years; 2. Patients are diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease; 3. Meets the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) score of <= 19 points (illiterate), <= 22 points (primary school), <= 23 points (middle and high school), <= 26 points (higher education); 4. The subjects are right handed; 5. Patients with mild (1 point) and moderate (2 points) dementia assessed by clinical dementia scale (CDR); 6. The condition of AD patients was stable and the drug was not changed with in 4 weeks; 7. Patients with AD who have a trusted guardian to accompany and assist in participation; 8. Patients with AD did not use drugs, alcohol or sedatives; 9. The patients and their families had informed consent, were willing to join the study, and signed the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with MRI contraindications (carrying electromagnetic sensitive medical equipment such as cardiac pacemaker and artificial cochlea); 2. Patients with consciousness disorders; 3. Patients with severe underlying diseases or other diseases that may lead to cognitive impairment; 4. Patients who are unable to cooperate to complete the test as required; 5. Patients who participated in other clinical trials at the same time; 6. Patients with spontaneous bleeding tendency or bleeding after injury (such as thrombocytopenic purpura, leukemia, etc.) and local skin infection who are not suitable for acupuncture treatment.
