Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Distal relationship of the molars; 2. Profile appearance: retraction of mandible, mild protrusion of maxillary or normal, underdevelopment of mandible; 3. Anterior overjet more than 5 mm; 4. ANB > 4.5 degree; 5. No obvious symptoms of temporomandibular joint disease, no obvious facial deviation, no orthodontic treatment history; 6. Age 10-13 years old, mixed dentition or early permanent dentition, CBCT-generated lateral cranial radiographs show that the patient is in CVMS II to CVMS III; 7. Enrollees were asked to sign written informed consent prior to enrollment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with a history of orthodontic treatment; 2. Those with systemic diseases who cannot cooperate.
