Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients were included if they had confirmed ulcerative colitis requiring a colonoscopy, visited the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University from June 2018 to June 2021, provided informed consent, and were at least 14 years old
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. They had nonulcerative colitis; 2. They had poor bowel preparation (Boston score <6); 3. They had poor general condition, serious bowel lesions, high risk of bowel perforation, and only distal colon exploration; 4. They needed a nonanesthesia colonoscopy; 5. They had a history of colon resection; 6. They had suspected or confirmed toxic megacolon and intestinal obstruction; 7. They had colonic hemorrhage; 8. They refused to sign the informed consent form; 9. They had psychiatric disorders and cannot self-assess or refuse to be enrolled; 10. Other patients who are contraindicated to colonoscopy.
