Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with type 2 diabetes and hypertension; 2. The average office systolic blood pressure is 140-179 mmHg, and the diastolic blood pressure is 90-109 mmHg; 3. Aged 65 to 80 years; 4. BMI<=30 kg/m^2; 5. HbA1c 7.0-10.0%.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Uncontrollable hyperglycemia (fasting blood glucose >=13.3 mmol/L); 2. Diagnosed or suspected secondary hypertension, malignant hypertension, hypertensive retinopathy or hypertensive encephalopathy; 3. Renal insufficiency (eGFR<=60 mL/min/1.73 m2, MDRD formula); 4. Liver insufficiency (aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, and glutamyl aminotransferase greater than or equal to three times the upper limit of normal); 5. A history of acute coronary syndrome, stroke and TIA in the past.
