Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Initial GCS score between 6 and 12 at the time of injury; 2. Patients with one or more cerebral contusions on CT scan accompanied by obvious edema around the contusion; 3. Aged 16 to 75 years; 4. Agree to start acupuncture treatment within 72 hours after injury or craniotomy; 5. The legal representative signed the informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with unstable vital signs within 72 hours of admission; 2. Serious medical diseases, such as heart, liver, kidney failure or autoimmune diseases; 3. Patients who need craniotomy for reasons other than TBI before randomization; 4. Patients who are not suitable for acupuncture, including pregnant women, frequent epilepsy, mental disorders, fear of acupuncture, special weakness, skin infection at the acupuncture site, etc.; 5. Medications required to treat comorbidities may affect study results.
