Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion of the participants followed diagnostic criteria for allergic rhinitis as defined by the Chinese guidelines for allergic rhinitis 2015. Only patients with age 18 years or older and Chinese ethnicity were included.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients that have been treated in the past three months, or with any basic diseases of long-term medication (such as hypertension, serious diabetes, or any serious heart disease) or ongoing treatment for serious chronic diseases (such as cancer) were excluded. Patients that have other medication during the 1-year follow-up period were withdrawn.
