Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. For patients with septic shock who are continuously admitted in the ICU, the diagnosis of sepsis is based on the third international consensus definition of sepsis and septic shock; 2. Inclusion criteria for patients undergoing short elective surgery: Before short surgery, there was no obvious abnormality in inflammatory indexes and blood gas analysis results.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients aged < 18 years, pregnant patients, type 1 diabetes or dysplasia or immunosuppressive disorders (eg HIV) or patients receiving immunosuppressive therapy (chemotherapy, long-term steroid use, autoimmune disease treatment).
