Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria were to be between the ages of 30–75 years and to meet one of the following conditions: 1. 120 = 24 kg/m2, and 5. Waist circumference (WC) >= 90 cm for men or >= 85 cm for women.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria were as follows: 1. Chronic diseases (hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart disease, and cancer); 2. Serious diseases of heart, liver, spleen, lung, and kidney; 3. Acute diseases (fever); 4. Infectious diseases (tuberculosis, influenza, and herpes zoster); 5. Immunodeficiency; 6. Pregnancy or lactation, and 7. Severe psychological pathologies.
