Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Admission to emergency intensive care unit or emergency general ward, meeting Sepsis 3.0 diagnostic criteria for sepsis and septic shock; 2. Aged 18 years and above.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Diseases that affect VE-cadherin such as tumors and acute leukemia; 2. Patients with incomplete clinical data and incomplete medical history.
