Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. The diagnosis of stroke was in line with the diagnostic criteria revised by the 4th National cerebrovascular disease academic conference in 1995, and all were diagnosed by cranial CT; 2. The diagnosis of depression is mainly based on the diagnostic criteria of depression in the third edition of Chinese classification and diagnostic criteria of mental diseases (CCMD-3); 3. The degree of depression was quantified by Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD-17). If the score >= 17, it was classified as moderate and severe depression; 4. Syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine: according to the syndrome part of clinical diagnosis and treatment terms of traditional Chinese medicine in the national standard of the people's Republic of China and the internal medicine of traditional Chinese medicine edited by Tian Delu, depression can be differentiated into liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome. The main symptoms are: sadness and interest, lack of interest, loss of appetite, mental fatigue, costal distension and pain, occasional excessive rest, abdominal distension and poor sleep. Secondary symptoms: chest tightness, abdominal pain, painful diarrhea, loose stool. Tongue pulse: light tongue, white tongue coating, fine pulse string; 5. Aged from 18 to 80 years; 6. The patient was diagnosed for the first time and did not receive antidepressant treatment in recent 2 weeks.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant and lactating women; 2. Suffering from other mental disorders, such as mania, schizophrenia, etc; 3. Currently suffering from severe respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, blood system and other primary diseases; 4. Those who have recently suffered from severe infection or have undergone surgery; 5. Acute stage of stroke.
