Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients (aged >=20 years) having H. pylori-positive chronic gastritis with/without peptic ulcers (duodenal or gastric ulcers)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria included pregnancy or nursing, serious concomitant illness, malignant tumors, history of hypersensitivity to study drugs, severe ulcer bleeding, taking PPIs or antibiotics in the previous month. Patients without previous anti-H. pylori treatment were invited to receive the first-line regimens, whereas patients who had previously received anti-H. pylori therapies were invited to receive rescue regimens.
