Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. The diagnosis of treatment-resistant depression in line with DSM-V, and the Baker Depression Inventory (BDI) score >= 14 points; 2. Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) depression score >= 10 points; 3. Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) score >= 20; 4. Both the treatment-resistant depression and the healthy control group need to be excluded from other mental disorders by two psychiatric attending physicians through SCID interviews.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Serious liver, kidney, heart and other important organic diseases; 2. Pregnancy; 3. Antibiotics were used 2 months before inclusion.
