Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Newly diagnosis of diabetes using the World Health Organization (WHO) 2019 criteria, aged 18-75 years; 2. Autoimmune antibodies (GADA, IAA, ICA) negative.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnancy at diagnosis or gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM); 2. Secondary or special type of diabetes; 3. Presence of acute diseases that could interfere with the glucose metabolism; 4. With renal-structure abnormalities (tumors and cysts or history of renal region surgery.
