Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients aged >=80 years who received mechanical ventilation through endotracheal intubation or tracheotomy; 2.Patients with endotracheal intubation met the VAP diagnostic criteria: pneumonia occurred 48 h after receiving mechanical ventilation: new infiltrating shadows on the chest, plus 2 or more of the following 3 items: fever, body temperature >38 degree C; Purulent air duct secretion; Peripheral blood white blood cell count >10x10^9 / L or <4x10^9 / L; Except atelectasis, heart failure and other lung infiltration shadow. 3.All VAP patients received consistent ventilator-associated pneumonia prevention Bundle strategies, such as raising the head of the bed by 30-45°; Chlorhexidine oral care 3 times a day; Evaluate the possibility of pulling machine and tube daily; To prevent DVT; Intermittent subglottic attraction.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.End-stage disease, estimated survival < 7 days; 2.Incomplete medical records.
