Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. The patient aged 18 years and above. 2. The hospital stay is not less than 72 hours. 3. Patients diagnosed with active colorectal tumors (newly diagnosed within 6 months, or received radiotherapy and chemotherapy within 6 months).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients admitted to hospital solely for diagnostic testing or hemodialysis. 2. Therapeutic anticoagulation is required due to disease, such as acute myocardial infarction. However, newly discovered VTE during hospitalization was not included. 3. Patients admitted to hospital for VTE. 4. Patients in pregnancy. 5. Patients hospitalized for chronic rather than acute medical conditions. 6. Inpatients admitted to the following wards: Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Palliative Care, Obstetrics, ENT, Burns, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Rehabilitation Center/ward. 7. The patient expressly refuses to participate in any study at the time of admission and refuses any study to use his hospitalization information.
